The 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Vaquero is a large-displacement touring cruiser that is designed in a sleek "bagger" style. It combines the massive power and road presence of a heavy cruiser with the practical features needed for comfortable touring, all while maintaining a stripped-down, streamlined look. The Vaquero is well-suited for riders who want the comfort and features of a touring bike but prefer the aggressive style of a custom bagger.

Engine and Performance
Engine Type: 1,700cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve per cylinder, 52-degree V-twin.

Power: This engine is all about torque. It produces a massive 107.6 lb-ft of torque at 2,750 rpm, providing effortless acceleration and a feeling of immense power for cruising and passing.

Fuel System: DFI® with two 42mm throttle bodies, ensuring smooth throttle response and consistent power delivery.

Transmission: A 6-speed transmission, with a "positive neutral finder" for easy operation. The 6th gear is an overdrive, which helps reduce engine RPMs and vibrations on the highway, enhancing rider comfort.

Drivetrain: Power is transferred to the rear wheel via a low-maintenance carbon fiber reinforced belt drive.

Chassis and Handling
Frame: The motorcycle is built on a high-tensile steel double-cradle frame. Its long wheelbase and low center of gravity contribute to its stability, particularly on the highway.

Suspension:

Front: 45mm conventional telescopic fork with 5.5 inches of travel.

Rear: Swingarm with twin air-assisted shocks with four-position rebound damping. The air adjustability allows the rider to easily tune the suspension for different loads, from a solo ride to carrying a passenger and luggage.
