The 2012 Yamaha Super Ténéré is a rugged and capable adventure touring motorcycle designed for long-distance exploration. At its core is a torquey 1199cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft, which delivers a feel similar to a V-twin and provides predictable power delivery, essential for varying terrain. The bike's performance is managed by Yamaha's Chip Controlled-Throttle (YCC-T) ride-by-wire system, which allows riders to switch between "Sport" and "Touring" D-Mode settings for a more aggressive or relaxed throttle response.
