Off-Road Odyssey: “Arizona Build” Episode 9 takes you behind the scenes at Ride Now Powersports Peoria, where we transform the versatile Can-Am Defender into the ultimate weekend warrior. Hosted by Alexa Score, this episode kicks off just north of PAC, Arizona, as they roll into Ride Now Peoria’s massive 132,000-square-foot showroom and shop. 

Once on the lift, our team tears the Defender down to its frame and begins the customization process. Wolf Designs wraps the machine in a one-of-a-kind, bright-blue North Woods motif, ensuring it stands out on any trail. Super ATV steps in with heavy-duty A-arms and bulletproof portal gear lifts for improved ground clearance and drivetrain protection. Valor beadlock wheels and 35-inch Alpha tires provide traction in mud, dirt, and high-altitude terrain, while Shock Therapy shocks smooth out the ride. Inside, UTV Stereo installs a custom sound system complete with signature speakers, a DMR0 head unit, and a 10-inch subwoofer to keep the tunes pumping from the desert floor to the mountain peaks.

Finally, we reunite all the components and send the Defender down to ground level for a first drive through Happy Jack’s stunning pine-blanketed trails. At over 8,000 feet, the portals and upgraded suspension prove their worth, delivering impressive comfort and handling. Alexa and Quinn put the “weekend warrior” to the test, tackling technical switchbacks, rocky climbs, and scenic overlook, with the Defender passing every challenge with flying colors.
