If you’re a lover of the Indian Motorcycle brand, you’ll be delighted to hear that they have added two new motorcycles to their line-up for 2017: The Chieftain Limited and Chieftain Elite. These motorcycles accompany the Chieftain  and Chieftain Darkhorse to complete Indian Motorcycle’s bagger range.

Reid Wilson, Director of Marketing for Indian Motorcycle, had this to say about the new additions, “Our goal was to evolve the award-winning Chieftain platform with new models that elevated the overall style of this bike significantly, while still staying true to the signature design qualities that Indian Motorcycle is known for”.

Features
Speakers come standard in the new Indian Chieftain Elite, ridenow powersportsWhether you’re a fan of the Indian Motorcycle brand or just baggers in general, the new Chieftain Limited and Chieftain Elite are sure to get your juices flowing. Indian Motorcycle has packed these bikes with industry leading features, ensuring they’re contenders for just about anyone’s garage.

Both bikes are dripping with the latest tech: A seven-inch touchscreen ride command system, power adjustable windscreen, ABS, remote locking hard saddlebags, and a key-less ignition.

Indian Motorcycle’s attention to detail doesn’t stop with the tech, a lot of thought has gone into the design of the Chieftain Limited and Elite. A 16” rear wheel matches the ten-spoke 19” front, which is highlighted by a lower-profile, sawed-off fender.

These stylistic and tech features would mean nothing if the Chieftain Limited and Chieftain Elite didn’t have the performance figures to back them up. Which they do.

The 1811cc V-twin Thunder Stroke 111 produces a mammoth 119.4 ft-lbs of torque. This is enough to ensure Harley Davidson’s Street Glide Special and Street Glide CVO, which are rivals to the Chieftain Limited and Chieftain Elite, won’t be able to keep up on the straights.

The custom Indian Motorcycle script logo on the calipers is just another example of the fantastic attention to detail on these bikes.

Chieftain Elite
The Chieftain Limited is a seriously competent motorcycle but, for when only the best will do, the Chieftain Elite is the bike to go for. Every Chieftain Elite is handcrafted, meaning no two Elites are exactly the same, adding to this motorcycle’s custom feel.

Some of the premium features that separate the Chieftain Elite from the Limited are: billet driver and passenger floorboards, a 200-watt premium audio system, a Pathfinder LED headlight and a flare windshield. One feature that, arguably, stands out more than any other is the Elite’s paint job, a custom Fireglow Red Candy with Marble Accents paint.

Prices start at around $24,499 for the Limited and $31,499 for the Elite.
