It Seems a Rule…
Their travel journal website hooked me in the first sentence, “Travel people are the coolest people. It seems to be a rule. Have you notice that?” Lion’s Detour is a travel blog with many featured areas from Motorcycle Travel (that I will focus on for this post), Food Travel, Travel Wellbeing, Camping Guides, Travel Activities and so much more for you to explore (www.Lionsdetour.com).
They speak from the heart about lessons learned and the stories we create and weave by venture out and become a part of our global society.
When we think of American past times of summers, we think of barbecues and good friends. Well, across the pond it is a barbecue that brought together Marta and Mandell in London.
Before that fateful day I wondered…did they know how much adventure their lives would hold? My best educated guess would be -yes, as they are both explorers at heart, but it is a luxurious pondering of how travel connects the heart unlike any other.
When asked, why do you love travel? Mandell says, “I love it because it is when I most feel freedom” and Marta, “It makes me fall in love with the world even more.”
With passions to travel and see and experience the world from a more experiential learning view, it was natural that they ventured into the world of travel blogging, “we started Lion’s Detour to share our passionate approach to exploring the world through a welcoming community.
We believe that no two trips will ever be the same because what makes those moments one of kind, is people. So, there is always a reason to come back-either to meet old friends or to make new ones!”
Something I personally took interest in is the wide range of articles and riders on their site. It is not just their travel log, it is a try to nature travel blog with tips, advice, money saving ideas, and featured stories of other travels.
In particular find inspiration in the article: Look Around the Globe and Their Trip Around the World that features the tell-tell ups and downs of globe trotting motorcyclists. There is nothing like reading the journey and growth of others to get your main wondering about two-wheeled travel and your heart wandering about life on the road.
From an article of the 5 Amazing Places to Ride Your Motorcycle in Europe to the Most Inspiring Motorcycle Travel Books for Adventure Mindset, they are hitting the ground running and producing content worthy of your reading time.
Their current snapshot is 8 months on the road and 34 countries visited, so many more wonderful adventures will come. You can read about the journey in their blog and monthly travel inspiration emails. So, grab a cup of tea or whiskey, hunker down, and go for read filled with inspiration and purpose. See you out on the road.
