1. Yamaha YZF-R3
 Small cc bikes have seen a revival of late, partly due to those wanting to stretch their dollars further, and those who bought the YZF-R3 wanted to be frugal in style.

2. Yamaha YZF-R6

3. Honda CBR 500
 Just like their automobile division, Honda is known for performance and reliability and the Honda CBR 500 is no different. It’s not hard to see why this bike is popular; it looks like the sportier 600 and 1000 but with a more ergonomic riding position for commutes.

You can ride to your hearts content for about $6,499.
 
4. Kawasaki Ninja 300
 If Top Gun himself wanted a sporty entry level into the sportbike world, he would pop smoke before riding away on the Ninja 300.

He would ride off the tarmac and race to wherever he wanted with an average of 66 MPGs. Its lightweight chassis and motor would make ease tearing up downtown and the country road. Riders looking for a sporty commuter can get one for about $4,999.
 
5. Yamaha YZF-R1
 The YZF R-1 is the bike Yamaha believes will race into the future, with technology such as their IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) which is used to calibrate for optimal results. Everything on this bike is lighter than its predecessors including the cross-plane, inline-four, 998cc motor and pulls an impressive 167 horsepower at the rear wheel.

Race enthusiast can get this bike for $16,699.

6. Honda CBR 600
 Race replica bikes have never been unpopular, and the CBR 600 has a long history of leading the way. For intermediate riders, the CBR 600 is a great way to cut up the canyon roads or spend a day at the track.

Onboard is Honda’s revolutionary C-ABS brakes, and their legendary DOHC 599cc liquid-cooled inline-four. Starts at $11,799.

7. Honda CBR 300
 The Honda CBR 300 is proof that fun things come in petite packages. It’s a direct competitor to the Ninja 300 but is priced slightly lower. This is a great bike for new riders or small riders since the bike only weighs 357 lbs.

For those looking for the optimal commuter bike that would put any hybrid to shame, this bike gets an outstanding 71 MPGs. All for around $4,499.
 
8. Suzuki GSX-R750
 If the 1000cc classes are the prom queens then the GSX-R750 is the first runner-up, respectably. Long been favored by those who didn’t want to grow out of the 600 class after six months, or for those who didn’t feel ready for the big boys.

Suzuki has been perfecting this popular bike for two decades now, and it consistently ranks on the top of anybody must have list thanks to its jack of all trades mentality of sportbikes. Price, $12,299.

9. Suzuki GSX-R600
 It has the same iconic styling as other GSX-R (known affectionately as Gixer) wrapped up in a smaller, but still capable, compact design.

This bike can be tailored in every way to make your twist and leans better; from the three-position pegs to the drive mode selector, you can tailor this bike to fit your riding style for about $11,119.

10. Honda CBR 1000
 This is where racing legends were made; the CBR 1000 has enjoyed a long success on the track. Honda claims this bike is the purest of pure, providing a deep connection between the rider and his bike.

Produces a whopping 153 tire shredding horsepower, and goes 0 to 60 in a blazing 2.6 seconds. More impressive is its price of $13,999.
