The Family Side X Side
Yamaha has released their new Wolverine X4 and I was at the media event in North Carolina to give it a whirl! And it did not disappoint.
Finding your rhythm on steep terrain is typically a difficult task, but with the new technology and standards that Yamaha has set, the Wolverine X4 makes even a novice look good, on rock climbs and tight, fast corners.
It was a chilly start to our day out riding, waking to 40-degree weather with fog rolling through the hills. We started out around a bonfire and with hot coffee and talks of the day ahead.
After 6 hours of testing and adventuring these SxS's left you wanting more. I expected to be more fatigued with body aches and exhaustion, but it did not exist. The seats are easily adjustable and quite comfortable.
A few days before a good rain storm came through the Brushy Mountain Motorsports Park and elevated the test day. We not only had sandy, rocky roads but sections with thick mud and a few "puddle-style" water crossings.
This makes for a great variety of terrain for testing the vehicle. As I put my coffee cup in one of the six cupholders, I was ready for a mini-adventure.
As we drove in and out of trees, one can't help to think ahead to the adventures you could create for your family. The capacity for storage and people make this the ultimate family/solo ride.
With the option to incorporate a locking cargo box with 28-gallon capacity, water resistant and it combines all this without taking away any of the space for the passengers.
It comes equipped with a 2000lbs towing hitch - well that means to hook up the toys, head out for a day at the lake with your boat or a tiny camping trailer for a long weekend. Or pull a wanderlust heart move and take it out for weeks!
Looking for more than a family recreational vehicle, the Wolverine X4 can provide the utility needed for hunting, working or fun. With an integration speed management system with a simple turn of the key. Lock it in turtle mode-remove the key and the max anyone can drive is 25 mph. Perfect for a business of rentals, on utility jobs, or the family that has kiddos that love to push the limits!
Can't leave any of your tech behind - in today's day an age...absolutely not. The Wolverine X4 will not allow that; it comes equipped with nearly 600 watts of electrical output from the engine, two standard 12V DC ports, four pre-wired accessory switches, and for the evening or early morning hunting - dimmable display. Made for many markets and a variety of needs but FUN for all!
