Top 7 Must-Reads & Watch to Inspire Any Moto-Adventure

Apr. 4 2017 Announcements By Danell Lynn

I will never forget the time before I knew a travel motorcycle community existed. I knew I wanted adventure on two wheels, and I did not know where or what or who to look towards for inspiration, so I called upon Amazon! I order many books on moto-travel, solo female travel, adventure film guides. These ultimately led - first to my love of reading and thirst for knowledge, but second, to my finding motorcycle adventure hubs, expos and entire communities that do not find it odd you are saving to take a year off and travel on two wheels.

It was the simple click of a mouse that led me to Lois Pryce, who I have written about in past blogs, a woman that inspires through humor and reality and shows that –

YES YOU CAN! This then led me to the Horizons Unlimited video series – Achievable Dreams, which then led to attending HU events. I found my way to Nathan Millward and Sam Manicom.

I found books on motorcycle camping and threw my mind into all things available in the digital world - blogs, articles, and more. The wealth of knowledge available on blogs is intense and can be inspiring andoverwhelming at the same time. It helped that I spread my learning over a few years to get pumped up about my journey while I was saving the funds... which spoiler alert book number 7 is the raw-blog book version of that year on the road! This is a small snapshot of what is out there, and I have an entire library of adventure books at home, so the narrowing to a list of 7 was a feat in itself. Not all books are strictly motorcycle – but all are travel and life inspired – Enjoy!
